Breathe In, Breathe Out

Life is under appreciated. We wake up each day, live, and go right back to sleep. We often do not think of the implications that it has on us and the ones around us.

Life is precious. Life is precious, because it expires. Our physical life will not last. There will come a day where we will breathe our last. Our body will be an empty shell. Think about the last minute of your life. Whatever you did in that minute is gone. You cannot get it back. One day, all the minutes that have made up our lives, will be that way.

So how do we make our life last? How do we make it count?

"If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." - Romans 14:8

We were made with a purpose. That is to honor God. That is the only way that our life can last.

Will yours last? What if today was your day? Would people stand at the podium and say, honestly, that you lived for Christ? Would they describe you as a person who had a breath-in, and breath-out commitment to the Lord?

The only way our life can last is if it belongs to the Lord. A key to following Jesus is self-denial. As followers we have to have a "Your kingdom come, and your will be done" attitude. If you live for you, your life will die with your body. But, for those who live for Christ, they keep on living past their expiration date. How? Jesus is the giver of eternal life.

So, what effect will your life have on the world today? Will it just be another day, or will you live a life in which every breath is breathed for the glorification of the King?

I encourage you to live breathe by breathe and day by day. Pour yourself out in the name of Jesus, for the name of Jesus. Be spent for the Love of Christ. As we take it breath by breath, pouring ourselves out, the memory of us will cause people to have a memory of HIM. When people remember what you do today, will it cause them to remember Christ?

Breath in, and breath out.

Keep Loving Jesus,
Seth
